A day in an astrologer's life

For last 5-6 weeks, since I began my astro consulting,I have got used to a new routine.
Everyday I look forward to my scheduled one-on-one consultation sessions while preparing for the upcoming ones couple of days in advance.
Besides addressing specific queries raised by a client, I also discuss with client some of my other observations on the chart.
This helps me in validating my own hypotheses and thus works as sort of reinforced learning for me.
I do flip over the charts analysed in the past to correct/corroborate my predictions/observations in light of new learnings ...it has become an iterative process now.
During readings, some clients do help the astrologer by providing honest feedback.
I am personally very much indebted to them.
What would an astrologer do if a client chooses to mislead him rather than giving an honest feedback.
However confident he may be about his observation, in absence of client's confirmation, the learning loop is never confidently closed.
In this blog I will narrate some such experiences of mine wherein clients showed immense integrity and love for astrology by making some uncomfortable confessions.
I was in a session with a gentleman in his late forties. This well settled technocrat, a family man was enquiring about some property matters. I had noted something strange about his sexual orientation in the chart(3/8 house axis).
It is never easy for an astrologer to talk about such topics with a client that too in unsolicited manner.
However, I was bit encouraged when the gentleman told me that he too loves astrology. So before closing the session, with all necessary apologies in advance, I posed this question to him about his sexual orientation not being straight.
He hesitated but confessed that for years he had this inner conflict but had got it sorted out only after some years into his marriage.
He did mention that it was for his love of astrology that he is confirming it otherwise he could have very well told me a NO.
The second one relates to a lady who got divorced and her second marriage was also going through a rough patch.
While the query was regarding married life, a stellium in the fifth house of the chart couldn't be ignored.
Incompatibility between partners is often the cited reason for a divorce in educated middle class/higher middle class families.
The first marriage was clearly seen as a love marriage. Did it break due to incompatibility ?
It was not so. The reason was related to the fifth house ie child birth.
When enquired about fifth house matters and progeny, the courageous lady confirmed that she has number of failed IVF attempts which led to her divorce.
A love marriage ending like this is not quite understandable but ...
Next one ...
Parents anxious about their daughter's marriage had insisted for an in person reading of her chart.
We discussed about her marriage prospects and then I asked if their daughter had a problem in her ear.
Father quickly said NO.
(an attempt to hide any physical deficiency of an unmarried daughter by a well meaning father is understandable).
However, to much annoyance of the father, the mother told me that how one of the ear drums got ruptured leading to some hearing loss to their daughter.
What was not told, (and the chart said so), was that this violence had caused breakup of their daughter's steady relationship.
It may have been an accidental confession but means a lot to an astrologer lest he is misled.
Let me end this blog with another accidental confirmation of an astrological observation.
A mother was consulting about her son's health over a Zoom session with me.
I saw a peculiar planetary combination in the chart and asked if some one in the family did not get proper last rites.
( It may be quite intriguing that such matters can impact certain areas of native's life without him being involved in such incidents with current or previous generations in anyway...but it is so).
To this, I got a quick response ..NO.
However, I advised her to consult elders in the family and let me know about it later.
Fortunately for me, her MIL was also sitting around ( though not in view on the zoom camera) and after a while she was prompted by her MIL to tell me about disappearance of a brother of this boy's grandfather from home several decades ago never to return.
What would have happened to this man who left his home never to return...where and how he could have died ...could he have got proper last rights observed for him?
Or this boy's chart was rightly indicating such a possibility ..which is also a reason for his current health issues !!
Disclaimer: This wasn't a sequel to my Astrology and Goosebumps blog 😊
